Call for Papers/Poster Presentations

Call for Papers/Poster Presentations-India-EU Dialogue on Internationalization of Higher Education July 13, 2018

Internationalization of higher education has become an inevitable reality today. The global requirements have altered the education structure where universities are required to prepare the students to face the global competition by providing necessary skill sets. The higher education institutions have transited from whether to internationalize to rather how to internationalize their university campuses.

While universities globally are striving to maintain the distinctiveness of their respective national higher education systems, there is a pressing need felt for mutual recognition of otherwise disparate systems. In case of the European universities, the Bologna Process and European Higher Education Area have facilitated harmonization of credits and recognition of degrees. While the Indian higher education institutions too are trying to enhance their visibility in the global higher education arena, however given the vastness of the country, the universities are grappling with questions of harmonization and policy matters.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) proposes to host leaders of some of the HEIs in India and engage in a conversation with experts in the field from Europe thus enabling a policy dialogue on harmonization and internationalization of higher education. The Conference is a part of the three-day Manipal Higher Education Meet, which comprises a workshop on Day one, the conference on Day two culminating in a Vice Chancellors’ Conclave on Day three.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education invites authors to submit articles for the Conference on India-EU Dialogue on Internationalization of Higher Education. The Conference to be organized by Manipal Academy of Higher Education, will take place on July 13, 2018 at Manipal.
